Why not explore the local

Helens, within walking distance from the famous St Helens RLFC
stadium at Knowsley Road. Ideal for travelling fans, the Griffin
allows you to relax after the match and maybe enjoy a meal in
our Restaurant before the journey home,
St Helens is also famous for glass, with
the world's largest manufacturer, Pilkingtons head office less
than a mile away. Recently, a superb new museum has been opened
to celebrate the town's past, known as the World of Glass. Situated
in the town centre, the museum is an interesting way to spend
the afternoon whilst you are in town. St Helens
town centre has seen much development recently, and now boasts
an exciting array of restaurants and bars, as well as a new multiplex
cinema. Many of the streets have been pedestrianised and the centre
offers a good selection of shops.
Being situated between Liverpool (10 miles) and
Manchester (20 miles), the area is within easy commuting distance
to enjoy the attractions of these famous cities. Whilst slightly
further afield, the glorious coutryside of the Lake District or
North Wales can both be reached in about an hour.
